Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?
Just one? I love quotes. I have journals filled with quotes I found. I have quote compendium. I do dry erase art with quotes. Quotes, quotes, quotes!
I actually have three that have been my guides for much of my life.
-“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate the beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch Or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!” -Ralph Waldo Emerson. (Bold is the shortened version I use at times.)
-“You grow up the day you have your first real laugh – at yourself.” -Ethel Barrymore
-“The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.” -The Doctor (from the Doctor Who episode “Vincent and the Doctor”)
