What experiences in life helped you grow the most?

There have been many events in my life that have carved out my path – either steering me in a completely different direction or affirming where I was going at that moment.

One of the largest and more recent events would definitely be deconstructing. Finally valuing myself enough to stand up and leave that fundamentalist evangelical place…

It was hard. It was lonely. And it is still hard. But. It is not as lonely now. I have found ME. I have stood up for myself and others. I have discovered who I am inside and a passion that drives me. I have found true friends, true LOVE and seen it in action. I have seen genuine kindness and caring and acceptance of who I am and support along this journey, comrades in the fight.

Escaping and learning how to more than simply survive, to see that it might be possible to THRIVE and move toward that light…
